The Need

In order to create a project management office for a large scale IT project involving diverse types of content in the Medical Services Delivery industry the client wanted to understand best practices that exist in large organizations.  They also wanted to extend their understanding to how those large organizations with diverse content types manage their projects.  It was important how projects were priorities.

Methodology

Both primary and secondary research methods were engaged in the development of this report.  Premium and free internet resources were engaged to gain background and understanding of the scope of the project and the industry in which these IT organizations exist.  Interviews were conducted to gain further understanding of actual PMO structures, priorities, content, project types, and management of delivery.
